micro worlds
3 tiny worlds to look at and participate in, placed in the foot of mini Trees that linked Church Square to the River.
Micro World 1
The Annual General Meeting of the Council of Life on Earth – trees, stones, monkey, starfish, human beings, frogs, water, all sit on minature chairs in a circle, answering the most pressing question of the year: ‘what are the joys of living now and the challenges of future’.
Participants choose a life forms they were most drawn to and asked to answer the questions from the point of view of that life form.

Micro World 2
It is the year 2210. The scene shows future beings giving out awards of thanks to humans now. Participants are asked to imagine what someone from the future (their great great grandchildren) might thank them for, then write their answer down on a little stick and plant it.
Micro World 3
A world to observe, one that depicts people stopped in their tracks by a woman with a megaphone who is asking: ‘what is it you want to do with your one wild and precious life?’ The washing on the minature line spells out this question and echoes the life size washing line that was hung in Church Square marking the entrance to the Shimmy.
